The event started with a Land Acknowledgement statement. Other agenda items included a brief overview of the Center for Community Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR) by Dean of Undergraduate Studies Dr. Kimberly Costino, and three breakout groups focused on Models of College Corps at various institutions; a conversation about the recent Los Angeles wildfires; and on the collaborative, multi-stakeholder community engagement approach evolving at DH through CETR.
In attendance were 30, representing 9 of Southern California colleges and universities, including CSU Long Beach, Cerritos College, Peperdine University, Pitzer College, University of San Diego, Cal Poly Pomona, Layola Marymount University and the University of Southern California. CSUDH's participants included faculty, students, CETR staff, and a community partner.
